How to take our Omega-3 oils

Take 1 spoonful of NORSAN oil per day
How to measure your dose:
NORSAN Total & Arktis: approx. 1 tablespoon daily.
NORSAN Vegan: 1 teaspoon daily.
To achieve the best results, a daily intake of 2,000mg of Omega-3 is recommended. This target is supported by extensive scientific literature and data from more than 30,000 fatty acid profiles conducted by NORSAN. For new users, we suggest a higher dose during the first three months. This initial rebalancing period is vital for correcting a deficiency and establishing a healthy Omega-6/3 ratio.

Regular intake
Regular intake is key to success. A daily dose of Omega-3 – because only through regular intake is it possible to achieve therapeutic and protective effects.

Take with or after a meal
We recommend taking Omega-3 with a meal. This is because the fatty acids are absorbed more effectively by the body. On an empty stomach, fat digestion is not usually stimulated, and so there’s a risk that only a small amount of this valuable oil is actually absorbed. It’s important that the oil is not heated. Whether the oil is taken in the morning, at midday, or in the evening doesn’t matter; the important thing is to combine it with a meal.
Taking Omega-3 is simple:
- Shake the bottle before opening
- Take a spoonful of Omega-3 with or during a meal
- Store the opened Omega-3 oil in the refrigerator
- Repeat steps 1-3 every day and start your Omega-3 routine

Recommendation for children
For children, we recommend our Omega-3 FISK with delicious orange flavour. We recommend the dosage according to body weight, as shown in the table below.
In general, all our products are also suitable for children. It is important that the dosage is adjusted according to weight.*Breastfeeding mothers can optimally supply themselves and their child by supplementing with 2,000 mg of omega-3 fatty acids (1 spoonful) per day.
* Our oil recommendations are based on a 75 kg adult. A child weighing 15 kg would therefore need approximately 1/5 of the adult recommendation.
